When the mysterious Gavin Phillips returns to Seattle after a prolonged and unexplained absence, he threatens to expose fifteen-year-old Cassidy Jones's incredible secret: she is a superhero. But his presence is far more sinister than she realizes, for it soon becomes apparent that his hidden agenda holds a dark and dangerous intent that will unleash an unparalleled evil upon an unsuspecting world. Can Cassidy stop him before all is lost?
I completely enjoyed this fun…fun…fun series! Elise Stokes is an author to watch! Her characters are relatable and dialogue witty. Cassidy is an unlikely hero that pre-teen girls will love and relate to as they follow her adventures to save the world. This series has it all, adventure, excitement, family values and a bit of romance laced with teen angst. I haven’t been this excited about a series in a long time.
The Seventh Attendant is the third book in the series and does not disappoint! In the first book Cassidy is infected with a retrovirus that changes her DNA and turns her into a superhero. In this installment she is chasing to recover a microchip before it gets into the wrong hands. Surrounded by family and friends who don’t know her secret, except of course Emery and his mom, Cassidy tries to balance saving the world with passing algebra. Her approach to life will bring smiles to your face; she is truly a lovable heroine!
Elise Stokes is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors, I love her work! This series deserves your attention, and I highly recommend it for all the middle schoolers’ in your life.
